The hospitals facilities are filled with protocol which emphasis is focus on using technology to maintain accurate patient records. Nurses are more focus on protocol checklist than patient care. It seems they are robotic as oppose to caring individuals. The idea of bedside manners and common sense seems as things of the past.  The sad thing is that most nurses are now more fearful of losing their job if they miss an entry on the computer records than on observing the patients needs. So if you ever have to be hospitalized, make sure you have a family member to be your advocate with common sense.
